At this point in the season, on a club and individual level we are punching above our weight.

Neil Murphy who has joined us on the DSC / ESB transfer has spent time putting together a great and comprehensive resource for the results for the sea swim season. Click [ here ] to see where you are in the league.

At the risk of these results not staying where we want them to stay, I will confirm at this point the Lady's team are out in front by 9 points and the Men's team are in joint second place.

As you all know the weather on the weekend just gone was erratic and stormy leaving both fixtures to be rescheduled for a later date (our own race being one of these - which we will announce as soon as we have the go ahead). In light of the fact that boats were being capsized in the wind in Dun Laoghaire and a whole rowing race had to be rescued on the Shannon, we welcome the Leinster open sea committee's race / no-race decisions.

The 2013 Season begins on Saturday June 1st at Killiney Beach, followed by a race the next day at Bray.

Due to the abnormally cold season we have just had, the initial races will be approximately 1100m and novices are asked to for-go these early season races for their own safety.

Our own club race is on June 23rd and will hopefully be a great day out on Killiney beach for swimmers and spectators of all ages. We have a video of last year's race [ here ].

DSC president Niall O'Sullivan kept a diary of his exploits throughout last year's season and they can be read [ here ].

For those participating in this year's calendar, best of luck and stay tuned to the DSC website and facebook page for updates
